Now that I am trying to catch up here and then stay up to date, January and February are a little blended together. The weather has been nice lately and we have been getting outside quite a bit. Yesterday we finally met up with the Mamaloukas family who we have not seen in ages!
I attempted a cinnamon brown sugar bread. It rose well but collapsed a little when I baked it.
Naia made these cool flowers out of old plastic water bottles with CHC.
I picked out these books for family read alouds. We finished our others except for Sophie's World which will take some time.
My kids told me I share my entire life on Instagram. I also notice I've been spending quite a bit of time checking IG and Fb but not really looking at much of substance. So I am going to cut back. I'm thinking posting 5 photos from the week on the same post every Saturday might be a good idea. Then I can post the rest here for them to look back on later.
I would like to get back into "homesteading." Be a better gardener and get more chickens. I'm also trying to exercise more. I would actually like to garden year round, start a compost bin, start plants from seeds in the garage with lights. However, we also have things falling apart on the house like our fence, our siding, and trees that desperately need to be pruned.
We made treats at Grandma's for Valentine's Day.
I want the kids to start doing some writing at the beginning of family time. Even something as little as Taven's above. I have started looking for letter sound activities/beginning sounds on Pinterest and doing them with Lela. I am thinking she is dyslexic but I'm still unsure. We will slowly work on it.
