The Farm and the Day After
Here are some farm photos that I took on my camera.
I have more pictures from my phone on Instagram. Today is our first full day back from the farm and I feel kind of blah. It probably has to do with not eating well there and not drinking enough water. My kids also have to get back to rising early and doing homeschool studies. They have been a bit difficult for me to be patient with today. Beforehand, or in hindsight, it is always easy to say to myself be present, stay calm, remain patient, etc. In the moment, it's much much harder. I am working on it. Forever trying!
What to remember: "...to expect complete stability or control over events is unrealistic and ensures that we suffer more than necessary." So let go! Let it be. Don't scream and yell. What good does that do? It only furthers your frustration and leads to stress. Accept the moment as it is. Act like an asswipe if you want. It doesn't affect me.
"Consider all the situations where we tend to 'lose it' and throw away our chance to experience peace in the all-important present moment...we allow so many details to disturb us that really needn't and our impatient reactions soon become habit." Yes! Do not let your reactions become a habit! However, I am already in the habit of getting frustrated and yelling at Taven. I am attempting to recondition myself. Wish me luck!
